"I was somewhat concerned about some of the negative reviews posted here, but am very glad I went ahead with a three night stay for skiing at Sunday River. This is a nice, classic New England inn, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and truly "of a different era". It is operated by a gracious and helpful fifth generation brother and sister. Full of character, the inn is filled with antiques, historic photos, maps and cheerful seasonal decorations. With Ann and Denise's delicious breakfasts and dinners included in the price of the room, I found this inn to be a very good value as well. No tv (fine) but I found my room and bath to be well appointed and very clean. Took an enjoyable day off from alpine skiing to snowshoe some of the 800+ acres of woodland which helped me appreciate the cross country/snowshoeing/hiking potential of this location. A great find if you are looking for this type of experience! "
